Terms of Service

The agreement between you and JobCraft AU when you use this service.

Effective date:
8 October 2026
Last updated:

These terms apply to your use of the JobCraft AU website and service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use JobCraft AU.

1. About JobCraft AU

JobCraft AU helps job seekers prepare job applications for Australian employers. It helps you build and edit a resume, check an existing resume, analyse a job advertisement, tailor an application, write a cover letter, prepare for interviews and keep track of the jobs you have applied for.

The service is intended for individual job seekers aged 15 or over who are applying for work, primarily in Australia. It is not a recruitment agency, an employer, or a provider of professional career, legal, migration or financial advice.

JobCraft AU is operated by JobCraftAU (ABN 63 272 569 714). You can reach us at jobcraftau@gmail.com or through the contact page.

2. Accounts

  • You need an account to use most features. One account is for one person.
  • The information you give us when registering — including your name, email address and the details you enter in your profile — must be accurate and kept up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that happens under your account.
  • Two-step verification is available in your account settings. We strongly recommend turning it on.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

3. JobCraft AU services

Depending on your plan, the service may include:

  • resume creation and editing
  • resume checking and feedback
  • AI-assisted resume content generation
  • cover letter generation
  • job advertisement analysis
  • tailoring an application to a specific job
  • application tracking
  • interview preparation
  • document export to PDF and Word formats
  • other features we introduce from time to time

Which of these you can use depends on the plan you hold. Plan inclusions are shown on the pricing page and are enforced by our servers, not by your browser. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn.

4. AI-generated content

Some features use artificial intelligence to draft or restructure text from the information you provide. AI output is assistance, not a finished document, and it can contain mistakes, awkward wording or misunderstandings of your experience.

  • You must read and check everything before you send it to an employer.
  • You are responsible for making sure your application is truthful and accurate.
  • You must not use JobCraft AU to create false employment history, qualifications, certifications, licences, tickets or other credentials.
  • We do not guarantee employment, interviews, shortlisting, or any other outcome, and we make no promise about how any employer's screening software will treat your documents.

Our product principle is simple: your experience, better presented — nothing invented.

5. Your content

You keep your rights in the information and documents you provide — your career history, resumes, cover letters and the job ads you paste in. We do not claim ownership of them.

You grant us the permissions reasonably necessary to run the service for you: to store your content, process it, generate the outputs you ask for, send the relevant parts to our AI provider to produce those outputs, create your document exports, and maintain, back up, troubleshoot and secure the service. You confirm you have the right to provide the content you upload, including anyone else's details that appear in it (for example a referee).

6. Prohibited use

You must not:

  • access or attempt to access any account, data or area you are not entitled to
  • bypass or attempt to bypass authentication or any other security control
  • manipulate or falsify payment, subscription or entitlement status
  • abuse free usage limits, including by creating accounts to obtain repeat access
  • run automated attacks, brute-force attempts, or denial-of-service activity
  • scrape or bulk-extract the service where we have not permitted it
  • upload malware or anything designed to damage or interfere with the service
  • commit fraud, or impersonate another person or organisation
  • submit deliberately false information for a harmful, deceptive or unlawful purpose
  • attempt to hide instructions or invisible text in generated documents to influence an employer's screening software

7. Free access and usage limits

You can create an account, build a profile, check a resume and use a limited number of AI generation actions without paying. Editing work you have already created does not consume additional free generation actions, and exporting the same document to a supported format does not consume one either.

Free access is limited, not unlimited. Complete resume access, document exports, tailoring, cover letters and the job search tools require an applicable paid plan. Eligibility and remaining usage are determined and counted on our servers, and we may restrict, reduce or refuse free access where we detect abuse of those limits.

8. Subscriptions and payments

  • Prices are shown in Australian dollars and include GST. One-off purchases unlock the features described at checkout. Job Search Pro is a monthly subscription that renews automatically until you cancel.
  • Payments are processed by our payment provider. Your card details are entered with that provider — JobCraft AU does not receive or store full card numbers.
  • If a document fails to generate because of a fault on our side, you may regenerate it at no extra charge.
  • Where a payment is refunded, reversed or charged back, the paid access it provided is removed.
  • Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including rights to a remedy where a consumer guarantee is not met.

9. Cancellation

You can cancel a subscription at any time from the billing area of your account. Cancellation stops future renewals. Your paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which your account returns to free access. Your saved documents remain in your account; features that require a paid plan stop working. One-off purchases are not subscriptions and are not cancelled in this way.

10. Intellectual property

JobCraft AU owns the software, website, design, branding, templates and underlying technology behind the service, and these remain ours. You may use them only as part of using the service.

You keep your own content, as set out above. As between you and us, the documents generated for you from your information are yours to use for your own job applications. We do not claim ownership of your resumes or your career information, and you may not resell the service or our templates as your own product.

11. Third-party services

We rely on third-party providers to operate the service, including hosting, database and authentication, artificial intelligence, payment processing and account email delivery. Their handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party websites you reach through links from the service.

12. Availability

We aim to keep JobCraft AU available and working properly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Maintenance, provider outages, faults and other events may interrupt access.

13. Disclaimers

JobCraft AU does not guarantee:

  • employment, an interview, shortlisting or any application outcome
  • that an application will pass any employer's screening process
  • that AI-generated content is accurate, complete or error-free

Any score, analysis or suggestion is general guidance only. It does not replace professional career, legal, migration, financial or other specialist advice where that advice is needed for your situation.

14. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. Where our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited (at our option) to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

Subject to the above, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of employment or income, lost opportunity, or loss arising from your reliance on AI-generated content that you did not check. Also subject to the above, our total liability connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim arose.

15. Privacy

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us and explains what we collect, how we use it, who we disclose it to, and how you can access, correct or delete it.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate an account where there is fraud, a payment reversal, a security violation, serious abuse of the service or other users, or another material breach of these terms. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond or export your documents.

17. Changes to the service and these terms

We may update the service and these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the product before it takes effect. Continuing to use JobCraft AU after that date means you accept the updated terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date shown at the top.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State and the courts able to hear appeals from them. This does not affect rights you have under the law of your own State or Territory.
